Mandatory Football Meeting

Practice on Labor Day

Just for your information...the football team will be practicing on Labor Day (Sept.7) at 4pm. Make sure you are back from your trips in time to practice.

Week of Aug. 31 to Sept. 4

FYI...There will not be a sophomore game Thursday because Manti does not have a team. JV will be traveling to Manti on Thursday, game time 4:00pm. The Varsity is at home on Friday at 7pm. Please come out and support the Golden Eagles!

Directions to Manti: Take I-15 south to Nephi. Take the UT-132/100 North exit (exit 225). Turn left onto UT-132/100 North then turn right onto UT-132 heading south and continue on UT-132. When you get into Moroni stay on UT-132 (watch for signs). When you get to US-89 then turn right (south) and continue to follow. Turn right onto 500 North the school should be on the right. (100 W. 500 N.)

Aug 17-Aug 21

Practice will start at 3:30 on Monday and Tuesday. We will have a short team meeting and be on the field from 4-6 pm.

Wed and Thursday we will have a team meeting at 3:00 and be on the field from 3:30-5:30.

The Varsity team will leave Friday at 3:00 pm. Please bring a snack to eat before the game. Kickoff is set for 7 pm at Stansbury HS (between Tooele and Grantsville)

The Varsity will meet on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM for a short film session/walk through and for treatment of injuries.

Maroon and Gold Game

The Maroon and Gold game was a huge success Friday night.  Thanks for all the support.  The coaches and players performed well and things went as smoothly as can be expected.  We appreciate all the help from the football parents and volunteers.

2 -a- Day Practices Aug 10-Aug 14

We will practice at 7 am - 9 am & 7 pm - 9 pm  each day.

We will be in full pads each practice.

Paperwork and Money is due !

We will end the week with the Maroon and Gold Scrimmage on Friday at 7 PM.  Everyone is invited.

Football Starts Monday !!!!!!

Thanks for all the work, help, and support with the Weeds For Cash Fundraiser.  It was a big success.  Remember that football officially starts Monday with Conditioning at 7:00 pm each night and 7:00 am on Friday Morning.

Mandatory Parent Meeting on Tuesday Aug. 4th at 8:00 pm in the bleachers - west side.  It will be right after conditioning that night.

REMEMBER - YOUTH CAMP STARTS TUESDAY AUG. 4TH AT 8:00 AM AT THE PRACTICE FIELD.

Physicals

Anyone that did not play football last year for Springville or Spanish Fork High Schools needs to get a physical before they can participate this fall. There will be a doctor at MMHS on Aug. 3rd at 7 AM to do physicals for any athletes. Cost is $20.

Summer Workouts and Camp

Summer workouts have continued to go well. Camp was also a huge success. Thanks to all those who helped in anyway. Special Thanks to the Parents who helped with our Amazing Race. We have a few fundraisers coming up, then conditioning starting on August 3rd.

Camp Starts Monday !!!!

EQUIPMENT CHECK OUT - if you have not checked out your football equipment from Coach Burtenshaw, please meet on the East side of the football field at 6 AM on Monday to get your gear!!!!

If you have not turned in your Insurance Waiver form or your Athlete Emergency Contact sheet you will not be allowed to practice during team camp !!!

Please pay the $125 promptly to participate in camp.  (If there are any problems with this, please talk to Coach Burtenshaw)

Cost is $75 dollars (covers summer weights, camp fee, and T-shirt and shorts)

Team Camp Information

Team Camp will be July 13-17 at MMHS

Cost is $125, payable to the finance office.  Money is due Wed. July 8th.

     (This money covers summer weights, equipment rental, spirit pack, and camp fees)
     (If this is a problem, please talk with Coach Burtenshaw)

We will handout pads on Thursday July 9th at 10 am, unless otherwise arranged.

You will need a signed Athlete Emergency Info Sheet AND Waiver form to participate in camp.  May be picked up from Coach Burtenshaw starting July 6th.
